One of the most impressive things about Taste of Ukraine is their homemade pickles. I love pickles, and these are the best garlic dills I’ve ever had.

If you must try it all, there is the Ultimate Cossack Feast. Don’t eat for a week before trying it, though. Don’t worry. There is borsch. There is studynetz, a dish of jellied pork with vinegar. You can have caviar, or pickled herring, with an ice-cold shot of Odessa vodka. There is cornmeal. There is garlic sausage. Speaking of garlic. The bread arrives with two spreads: a) garlic butter; b) pureed roasted garlic. We ran out of ‘B’ immediately. It is nectar.

The atmosphere was was cozy, it reminded me a bit of my baba’s house on the farm what with the dark framing and doorways. The food was excellent, very tasty, I had the Chicken Kiev. The service was good as well. A lot of work went into the decor. Very impressed. I would recommend Taste of Ukraine to everybody.
