One of the most impressive things about Taste of Ukraine is their homemade pickles. I love pickles, and these are the best garlic dills I’ve ever had.

I came to Taste of Ukraine with a certain craving and curiosity, and both were satisfied. They do great work, not only on the well-known Ukrainian favourites, but also on the many traditional dishes you won’t find pre-made at the supermarket.

I finished things off with the excellent walnut torte. It was moist and rich without being heavy, and the buttercream icing was only slightly sweet. It was such a textbook example that I am considering ordering a whole one for my next birthday.
