After 7 great years at the original Edmonton location we had to close those doors and move to a new venue in St. Albert.   Ten years later, here we are– still serving our fine Ukrainian food in St. Albert!  If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to visit our St. Albert location, why not make our 17th anniversary a reason to come see us.  Drive a little further for a lot more taste.  Ми вас радо чекаємо!  We eagerly await your arrival.

Everybody’s favourite little munchkin, Princess ‘Petrusia’ as she has been dubbed here,  and who was frequently seen ( and heard!) visiting Taste of Ukraine with her little brother, Leo, prior to the Covid 19  restrictions is now spending more time at home and at school.  As  Natalka & Aaron’s little princess turned seven, she was happily “helping” at the restaurant,  chatting up a storm in both Ukrainian and English, and definitely bringing much laughter and joy to us all.  Grade 2 holds great expectations for Petrusia– look out Neil M. Ross School!  With her little brother turning 4,  Petrusia has now learned the many meanings of the word — “share”.  The newest meaning comes with the arrival of  Georgie (aka Yurchik), little baby brother #2 in June.  Now the sharing revolves around sharing hugs, kisses and many precious moments with the baby. Baba Orysia and Dido George (yes, that’s George Senior!)  have their hands full not only picking up after all of Petra’s “helping” and Leo’s creative re-arrangement but now also changing diapers and keeping the peace between the two siblings fighting over their baby brother.  However, nobody is complaining about the time devoted to these precious little bundles of energy — Многая Літа, Петрусю, Левку й Юрчику!  We love you all!  Can’t wait to have you back at Taste of Ukraine again.

Unfortunately, our little ones have not been frequent visitors to Taste of Ukraine throughout the Covid-19 times.  We miss their little voices & chatter here but their safety is of ultimate importance.  Optimistic now as the restrictions ease, we are starting to see their intermittent return to their Taste of Ukraine ‘playground’.   Oh joy!
